This year’s concert will premiere at its 'new home'on the historic site of the 1906 North Star House designed by Julia Morgan. Mavis Staples is a four-time Grammy Nomineed, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Rolling Stone's Greatest 100 Singers of All Time.

Gold Country Hiking & Adventures
Gold Country Hiking & Adventures launches Winery Tours to the boutique wineries located in Western Nevada County, California. Each vineyard and winery offers a unique story, style, history, and wine selection. Winery tours are a fun and interesting way to experience another side of the Sierras, while meeting new people, exploring the beautiful countryside - best of all, learning about and tasting new wines.
With the growing interest in wines and the expansion of wine tasting in the area, Melony Vance, founder of Gold Country Hiking & Adventures felt there was a void that needed to be filled. Vance offered, “We are located in this lovely part of the world, have a healthy tourist base, and wonderful wineries tucked away in the foothills, yet no one was offering tours. We’re not as sophisticated as Napa – and that’s a good thing – yet we have vineyard settings that are amazingly beautiful, though not easy to get to. Each vintner has an interesting story, and a passion for what they do. I’d like to share that with people. And, taking a guided tour is a logical idea for wine tasting – no one should be drinking and driving.” She added, “What’s more fun than wine tasting? You can’t beat the serene setting of a vineyard and you get to sample new wines.” Vance also mentioned that “unlike Napa/Sonoma, when you tour a winery here, you actually get to meet the people who make the wines.”
The Old Pharmacy Building in Historic Colfax is spacious with lots of charm and character. Owner Ms. Elan Vitkoff renovated the historic building to create a comfortable, cozy setting that includes a Wine & Cheese Shop, with savory Gyros and the Greek House Special that can be followed by Baklava as the perfect dessert. As the Gateway for Placer & Nevada county wineries, you can enjoy the fine wines with your meal while surrounded by local artwork and Weekend Music.

Wilfried Wietstock Photographer
Just like in the gold rush days or 1849 when California captured the world’s attention as GOLD was discovered in “them dar hills”, GOOGLE is investigating to bring bits of nuggets to the Gold Country in the form of SUPER HIGH SPEED internet service (via fiber optics).
Robin Milam of WSI Marketing and Wilfried Wietstock, professional photographer, recognize GOOGLE’s googling insight to look to the outskirts, geographically speaking, of the Sierra Nevada Foothills, namely Nevada City and Grass Valley. Also known as the Cultural Center of Northern California, Western Nevada County’s per capita percentage of artisans and high tech firms is greater than that of Carmel, CA.
Early in his life Wilfried recognized the potential of the Gold Country. In 1966 he invested in his property and in 1982 he became a permanent resident. Wilfried’s photographic career is spanning more than 45 years. Small and giant companies alike were his clients. Annual reports and ad campaigns were his staple diet. His ability to communicate through his images made Wilfried famous, not to the world but to his clients. He always delivered.
