Finance Division• Develops annual budget • Ties objectives to revenue goals • Review cost to performance, staff, programs & membership • Bring increased dues structure to Board annually • Budget for, at least, 100 new members annually
AmbassadorsThe Ambassador Committee is comprised of volunteer local business leaders. Membership is open to all current Chamber Members.
Ambassadors: • Act as Public Relations arm and liason for the Chamber • Represent both the Chamber and their own business • Serve as greeters at Business After Hours Mixers • Coordinate Ribbon Cuttings for new members • Provide outreach to current members See Become an Ambassador for more information. Tourism and Promotion• Market and promotion western Nevada County as a tourism destination • Create and distribution brochures and collateral materials for visitors, residents and potential visitors • Work with other regional organizations to promote tourism in the region
Community Relations• Lola Montez Visitor Center Opertations • Weekly KNCO Chamber Update • Community outreach Communications• Redesign“Business to Business” online • Expand eNews and electronic communications • Broaden website content and application • Monthly column in The Union newspaper • Survey members • Hold stakeholders meeting Business and Government• Monitor City Council & Board of Supervisors on issues affecting business • Interview candidates running for Grass Valley City Council and the Nevada County Board of Supervisors Nevada County Leadership Institute • Oversee 2008-2009 Nevada County Leadership Institute and launch 2010 Mary Ann Mueller, President/CEODuring her career with the Chamber, President/CEO, Mary Ann Mueller has overseen the complete renovation of the historic Lola Montez Home, which is the home of the Chamber. She was a co-founder in the creation and development of the Nevada County Leadership Institute and is Chair of the Leadership Steering Committee. A major focus for her has been forming partnerships with business organizations within western Nevada County to focus on issues affecting businesses within our community and working with government agencies in order to promote healthy business climate in western Nevada County.

A dedicated group of volunteers help in the day to day operations of the Visitors Center. They greet visitors and residents who frequent the Chamber's Center answering the myriad of questions people ask about living, working and playing in our beautiful County. It is a fun and rewarding service to our Chamber and community. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, contact Mary Ann or Judy at the Chamber office (530) 273-4667. Carol Fassino, BookkeeperCarol does all the bookkeeping for the Chamber, and assists Mary Ann Mueller with the annual budget. She also maintains books for several other local businesses. Carol has lived in Nevada County for thirteen years and has been in the accounting field for over twenty-five years.
