The twin cities Nevada City and Grass Valley hosted the first leg of the 2010 Amgen Tour of California on Sunday May 16, 2010.
From Auburn the route winding down Highway 49 to Salmon Falls, to El Dorado Hills to White Rock Rd to Jackson where cyclists rolled west into the flat streets of Sacramento.
